The 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI is equipped with all of the latest technologies in terms of infotainment, comfort and convenience. Indeed, the interior of the eight generation Golf is characterised by its simple and clean appearance which is made possible by the integration of most controls in the standard 8.25-inch or the available 10-inch center screen. The instrument cluster is also replaced by the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro in all models, which allows the driver to customise the display in order to efficiently present all of the necessary information.
The MIB3 infotainment system also includes the Volkswagen Car-Net set of connected services. With a free five-year plan, owners will have the ability to lock, unlock and perform diagnostics of their vehicle from their phone. The app is also now compatible with Amazon’s Alexa, which means that owners can Ask their Alexa device to control the same features of the car.
Technologies on the Underside
The 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI is not only full of technologies in the inside, it is also very technological in its mechanical composition. The new GTI is equipped with a revised version of the 2.0L turbocharged engine that was seen previously under the hood of this model. The additional power makes the most powerful GTI ever.
To go along with this increase in performance, the GTI received a number of significant suspension changes that range from stiffer rear springs to the addition of an adaptive damping system. This last innovation is capable of varying the damping response up to 200 times every second at each wheel in order to provide the best balance between comfort and spirited handling in the same vehicle, depending on the road surface and the driver’s enthusiasm.
