Pre-orders for the 2022 Volkswagen Taos have begun, and you can order yours today. Deliveries are expected to begin in July, with three versions of the 2022 Volkswagen Taos coming to Canada. They will all offer 4MOTION all-wheel drive as either optional or standard equipment, and you also get a long list of standard Technologies as well as a powerful turbocharged engine.
The Taos will start at $26,695, and it comes equipped with a 1.5 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower along with 184 lb-ft of torque. This makes the Taos one of the most powerful compact SUVs you can buy. 4MOTION all-wheel drive is available starting at $29,195 and is standard on the Comfortline and Highline models.
Standard features in the Taos include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, LED headlights, taillights and daytime running lights, push-button start, Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, automatic headlights, heated seats, heated washer nozzles, and a multi-function steering wheel. You also get 790 L of cargo space with the second-row seats in place and 1,866 L with the second row folded down.
The other two versions are available at $32,395 and $36,695 and both come with 4MOTION all-wheel drive standard. You get features such as autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, dual-zone climate controls, leatherette seating surfaces, and keyless access in the Comfortline model. In the top-of-the-line Highline model you also get ventilated front seats, panoramic power sunroof, heated steering wheel, and available Advanced Driver Assistance systems as well as 19-inch wheels.
