Tire Replacement: Wheel Yourself In

When is it Time to Replace Your Tires?
The original tires on your Volkswagen have built-in wear indicators evenly spaced around the circumference of the tire. When the tread on a tire is worn down to 2/32 of an inch, the tread wear indicator will appear, telling you it’s time to visit Simcoe Volkswagen to replace that tire.
- Another effective way to check a tire is to use a penny. Put the queen’s head in one of the treads. If part of her head is covered, you’re okay. If you can see all of the queen’s head, it’s time to replace that tire.
