The new 2022 Volkswagen Jetta has just arrived on the market with a starting price of $22,595. The all new 2022 Jetta gets more features, a more powerful base engine, and a new design. It is everything you want out of a compact sedan and more.
Power has never been a problem for the Jetta. This year, it offers even more of it thanks to a standard 1.5 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine offering 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The Jetta offers more standard torque than any other compact sedan in its segment as well as more horsepower than the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda3, or Toyota Corolla.
The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta GLI features a turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox or can be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Jetta offers an eight-speed automatic as an option.
There will be three versions of the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta offered while the GLI gets one version that is fully loaded with features.
2022 Volkswagen Jetta Trendline - $22,595
The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta Trendline comes standard with a wide range of features including a standard digital instrument cluster. The latter is unique in this segment. You also get heated front seats and heated steering wheel as well as a LED daytime headlights and taillights.
2022 Volkswagen Jetta Comfortline - $25,595
The Comfortline trim adds satellite radio, keyless entry and push-button start, automatic climate controls, Car-Net remote connectivity which gives you a range of control options from your mobile phone, mobile phone charging, and 17-inch wheels.
2022 Volkswagen Jetta Highline - $29,595
The top Highline trim features heated rear seats, heated windshield wipers, ventilated front seats, a larger 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit display, BeatsAudio sound system, and satellite navigation. It also features adaptive front headlights which turn with the steering wheel to better illuminate the corner.
2022 Volkswagen Jetta GLI - $31,595
The Jetta GLI gets all of the features listed above as well as numerous new technologies that improve sportiness and performance. These include adaptive suspension and various driving modes that adjust how the Jetta GLI performs.
