Canadian winters are known for their difficult driving conditions and their frigid temperatures. The Volkswagen Atlas is full of features made to keep you safe and comfortable during the long winter months.
Designed to keep you safe
The Volkswagen Atlas is equipped with many characteristics that improve safety for you and all of your passengers. The Atlas comes standard with Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system that gives you better confidence during the winter by increasing the vehicle’s stability while driving on ice. Additionally, 4Motion can also help you drive through deep snow without risking getting stuck. Available is the Travel Assist system which combines adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist to help keep the vehicle in its lane and at a safe following distance, which is important when the roads are slippery. If the vehicle detects a slide, the electronic stability control takes action to stabilise the Atlas and make it regain the correct trajectory by braking the appropriate wheels.
A comfortable place to be
The Volkswagen Atlas has been created with your comfort in mind. Every Atlas is equipped with Volkswagen’s 3 zone Climatronic climate control system. This feature allows three different temperatures to be set in the vehicle, one for the driver, one for the front passenger and one for the rear seats. In addition, front heated seats are standard, while rear heated seats and a heated steering wheel are available. These features make you and your passengers feel comfortable very quickly before, before the engine begins to produce enough heat for the climate control system. Remote starting is also available, which lets you warm up the cabin of the Atlas before you have to head out of the house, meaning you will never have to step into a cold vehicle again.
