The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas and the 2021 Kia Telluride are two luxurious and capable mid-size SUVs. They offer three rows of seats, impressive performance, a long list of standard and optional features, and great performance. That said, there are some significant differences between the 2021 Kia Telluride and the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas, specifically when it comes to interior space and value. Let’s take a closer look.
More Space
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas is one of the most spacious mid-size three-row SUVs out there. No doubt about it. That said, the Kia Telluride also delivers good interior space. The key is that when it comes to overall cargo space, the Atlas has the definite advantage. It offers 2,741 litres of cargo space in total which is over 300 litres more space than in the Telluride which has 2,455 litres of cargo space.
Also, the Volkswagen Atlas’ third row is more spacious with 856 mm of total legroom compared to 798 mm for the Telluride. And when the third row is up, the 2021 Atlas has more space than the Telluride in the back.
More Value
Regardless of which way you look at it, the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas delivers better value than the 2021 Kia Telluride. Indeed, the new Atlas starts at $40,095 compared to $48,205 for the Telluride which, we are sure you will agree, is a significant difference. Moreover, the top-of-the-line Atlas starts at $55,595 while the 2021 Kia Telluride starts at $57,705. Again, the differences are noticeable and regardless of which version you choose, you will get equivalent features (and sometimes more features) for less money in the Atlas.
Better Leasing and Financing Rates
Not only is the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas more affordable, but it also offers more advantageous lease and finance rates. The Atlas is offered at 0.99% on 36 months and 1.99% on 48 months when leasing while the Telluride is at 4.49% for both. Moreover, on 60-month financing, the Atlas is at 0.99% while the Telluride is at 2.99%.
