359 Woodlawn Rd W, Guelph, ON, N1H 7K9The gradual arrival of electric vehicles on the market is exciting. It allows us to witness the birth of new models with completely different designs, both in terms of the interior and exterior design.
At Volkswagen, where styling has been mastered for decades, the challenge has been met with flying colors. In Europe, the ID.3 model was first presented, followed by the ID.4 which will be offered here. This compact-sized SUV is going to be a hit in its segment because it offers everything that buyers are looking for. Here are three things we love about the new Volkswagen ID.4.
A real Volkswagen product
Volkswagen has a reputation for delivering products with a timeless design and exhilarating drive. Fans of the brand will be reassured to learn that the style is a blend of traditional VW design elements and impactful new EV-exclusive design elements, and more importantly, the driving experience of the model is on point. Behind the wheel, you really don't feel like you're driving an SUV. Actually, the ID.4 behaves more like a Volkswagen Golf despite its interior space and versatility.
Range and charging capacity
With an electric vehicle, the same questions always come up; what is the battery life and what are the recharging times like? Range is announced at 400 kilometers; so there is no need to worry. For charging, a level 2 terminal will give you a full charge in 8 to 9 hours, but with a level 3 terminal, we could recover 100 km in 10 minutes.
Interior space
Thanks to its electric design that eliminates the drive shaft, the Volkswagen ID.4 benefits from a flat floor inside. It increases the volume, of course, but above all it allows the occupants of the second row to breathe. Even three people can slip into the back in very decent comfort. There’s also a total of 1,818 litres of cargo space in the back
